Homework
Submission

Completed your homework and ready to submit it for marking?

To submit through Dr. Du Online, your homework needs to be uploaded to the submission box as ONE PDF file.

Here are some tips and FAQs on homework submission!

If you have a scanner, or a printer with a scan function, simply use the SCAN function to create a PDF with each individual page of your homework.

If you do not have a scanner, your phone can also be used to created PDFs. There are various free apps (e.g. CamScanner, Adobe Scan) that can be downloaded from the App Store/Google Play Store.

Once you have taken photos of all the pages of your homework on your scanning app, you can share the PDF to yourself (by email).

Once that is done, you’ll be able to get a copy of the PDF on your computer to submit on Dr. Du Online!

To submit through the app, you need to verify your email, as we will return your marked homework via email.

To verify your email, simply head to the Profile page and fill in your email address.

You’ll then receive an email to confirm – click the confirm link and you’ll be able to submit your homework through the Dr. Du Online App.

Once you have successfully submitted your homework, the submission button will be replaced by a timestamp.

The submission box is limited to a maximum file size of 10 MB.

If your PDF is above 10 MB, you can try to compress the file, or scan at a lower resolution.

If you wish to compress a PDF, you can upload it to this website: https://www.adobe.com/au/acrobat/online/compress-pdf.html

There are many websites and tools that allow you to combine multiple PDFs into a single PDF. We recommend that you use this one: https://combinepdf.com/

The dropbox will only accept one file. If you have submitted the wrong file, please contact the office so they can clear the submission box. Once cleared, you’ll be able to resubmit.

We try and get your homework back to you as soon as possible! With the amount of homework that comes through each week, the turnaround time for marking is usually 3-5 days.

You can track where your homework is through the Student Portal. If the status of your homework is ‘Submitted’, it is in the process of getting marked. If you can the results of your homework, it means the homework has been marked and recorded and should be sent to you very shortly.

Sometimes, our return email gets caught in the junk/spam filter. Check your junk/spam inbox first.

If it is not received, contact the office and they can resend the file.

Of course!

Each topic remains open on our hinting forum and homework help sessions for four weeks – one week is before submission and the remaining three weeks are after submission.
