DR DU EDUCATION
Dr. Du Education recognises that the fostering of a fair, caring and supportive environment is fundamental to the success of our students. The policy and procedures set out herein are to ensure that students will obtain the best possible learning opportunity whilst studying at this Centre. It is a condition of entry at Dr. Du Education that both the student and their parents/guardians are aware of the Centre Policies set out below and agree to abide by them. The Centre Policies may be updated from time-to-time. Students will be notified of any amendments and be able to decline within 14 days of the amendments being made available online on this page. 

STUDENT POLICY

At Dr. Du Education, we place strong emphasis on the conduct and behaviour of our students. These are non-negotiable rules and strict compliance to them is a key to the provision of high quality education.
  1. Students need to be well-prepared for every lesson.
  2. Students are to arrive to their lessons on time and carry the issued student card for identification purposes. The card must be presented to staff upon request.
  3. Students are to complete all issued homework independently and submit the homework on time every lesson.
  4. No plagiarism or cheating is permissible in any examination, including the weekly quiz.
  5. Students are to follow the teacher’s instructions willingly and promptly.
  6. Students must communicate without the use of rude or coarse language.
  7. Students must work quietly and let others learn undisturbed unless in a discussion session.
  8. Electronic devices (such as mobile phones, still or video cameras, sound recorders, music players etc.) must be switched off during lesson times.
  9. Students are advised to leave any valuable items at home. No responsibility will be taken by Dr. Du Education for any lost property.
  10. There shall be no running, playing or noisy behaviour on the premises at all times.
  11. Students are not to consume food or drinks (except water) inside the classrooms.
  12. Dress codes and footwear should be appropriate to the learning environment (no thongs, high platform shoes). Immodest clothing is not acceptable.
  13. Hair should be neatly groomed and extreme hair styles are not acceptable. Excessive make-up and jewellery should not be worn.
 
 In order to ensure compliance to the above rules, students and parents also agree to the following terms:
  1. Dr. Du Education reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student on the grounds of their failure to observe the Centre Policies. In general, any student who breaches any of the rules three times in one term may face suspension. 
  2. Dr. Du Education reserves the right to communicate directly (through writing or orally) with the student regarding their enrolment at the Centre without prior notice to parents and/or guardians. Matters include, but are not limited to, notices of promotions, demotions and unsettled accounts. 
  3. Although the Centre takes extreme care to ensure smooth running of all lectures, assigned teachers and curriculum including lecture times are subject to review and amendment without prior notification.
  4. There are no refunds and no replacement lessons for absence or early termination for any reasons. (缴费前请慎重考虑,缴费后无退费服务.)
  5. Additional fees may be charged for moving classes, makeup lessons, catch-up lessons, or other lessons outside the scheduled lesson times.
  6. Dr. Du Education reserves the right to take and publish photographs of students at the centre for day-to-day administration and promotional purposes. 
  7. Year 12 students are to announce their HSC results and give consent to publish them (only 90 or above) upon request by the Centre.
  8. It is noticed that 24-hour continuous camera surveillance is in operation at the Centre’s premises for security purpose.

PAYMENT POLICY

Students and parents acknowledge they have read, understood and agree to the terms set out in the Payment Policy. This consent is deemed to be received when payment for the student is processed, whether in person or online. 

  1. An enrolment fee is payable for all new students upon first enrolment. The enrolment fee is non-refundable.
  2. Full payment should be made for at least a term in advance.
  3. Dr. Du Education offers students a 2-lesson trial period when enrolling in a new subject (excluding multi-term enrolments). After attending the first two lessons, students can request for a refund of the unused term fees (excluding the enrolment fee).
  4. No trial period is offered to students making multi-term enrolments. No refund, credit or replacement is available for multi-term enrolments.
  5. Dr. Du Education reserves the right to change the curriculum, class time/date, lesson duration and class teacher without prior notice. Dr. Du Education makes no guarantee that the content of the lessons delivered will match (in terms of speed, topic order, difficulty etc.) with the content students are studying at their school.
  6. After the trial period, there is no refund, replacement, transfer or credit due to absence, early termination, change of teacher, lesson time/date, lesson duration, curriculum, your status or any other circumstances.
  7. Discounts are only applicable to full term payments made before the specified deadline.
  8. Dr. Du Awards with cash prizes are presented at the beginning of each term to eligible top students who are enrolled in the same course for the current term.
  9. Additional fees may be charged for moving class, makeup lessons, catch-up lessons, or any other lessons arranged outside the scheduled lesson times.
  10. As part of the Dr. Du Education services, students may be provided with Learning Materials. Learning Materials include but are not limited to, lecture notes, homework booklets, quiz papers and lesson recordings. Learning Materials may be provided physically, electronically or in any other format. Learning Materials are provided exclusively for the private and personal use of students enrolled at Dr. Du Education in their undertaking of education services provided by Dr. Du Education. Learning Materials are copyright and confidential information. Learning materials must not be reproduced, on-sold, published, gifted or otherwise used for any other purpose.
  11. Dr. Du Education requires students to adhere to the Student Policy during their enrolment. Student performance will be continuously observed and reviewed. Dr. Du Education reserves the right to restrict a student from attending class based on such reviews and observations.
  12. Dr. Du Education will communicate from time to time with parents and guardians about student enrolment and performance through the Dr. Du Online App. This includes, but is not limited to, notifications of student attendance, student performance in the weekly quiz and homework, changes to class format and changes to class time. Upon enrolment, parents and guardians agree to download the Dr. Du Online App (mobile or desktop) and to check the App regularly for notifications. Parents and guardians will be considered as informed of the updates when the notifications are pushed out in the App.
  13. Dr. Du Education may amend the terms and conditions from time to time. Students will be notified of any amendments and be able to decline within 14 days of the amendments being made available online.
  14. Dr. Du Education reserves the right to interpret the terms and conditions.

Student Card Terms of Use

  1. Terms of Use
    1.1 Reference to ‘Terms of Use’ on the back of the student card refers to these Student Card Terms of Use. These terms and conditions apply to the use of a Dr. Du Education Student Card (‘Student Card’).
    1.2 Dr. Du Education reserves the right to interpret these terms and conditions.
  2. Agreement to Terms of Use
    2.1 By enrolling in a course at Dr. Du Education, students, parents and guardians acknowledge they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Use.
    2.2 If the student is unable to accept these Terms of Use by reason of young age, their legal guardian is responsible for the use of the Student Card by that student.
  3. Nature of Student Card
    3.1 Student Cards are and remain the property of Dr. Du Education.
    3.2 Student Cards are issued to the enrolled students for identification and administrative purposes at Dr. Du Education centres only and cannot be used as proof of the student’s identity elsewhere.
  4. Usage of Student Card
    4.1 Students must only use their own Student Card, that is, the card printed with their name and photo.
    4.2 Students must carry their Student Card whilst attending to Dr. Du Education centres.
    4.3 Students must present their Student Card to any Dr. Du Education staff member or authorised representative upon request. Failure to do so may result in denied entry to classrooms.
    4.4 Students must not misuse the Student Card. Misuse includes, but not limited to transferring to another individual, defacing, altering, tampering, and duplicating the Student Card.
  5. Replacement of Student Card
    5.1 Students are to obtain a temporary pass (fees may apply) upon arrival to the Centre if they have forgotten to bring their Student Card. The temporary pass is only valid for a single day.
    5.2 Students may obtain a replacement card (fees may apply) if their Student Card is damaged, lost or stolen. Upon issuance of the replacement card, any previously issued Student Card will be deactivated.
  6. Termination of Student Card
    6.1 The Student Card will be deactivated when the student is no longer enrolled in a course at Dr. Du Education.
    6.2 Dr. Du Education may require the return or destruction of the card at its discretion.
